Tired of missing him: should I hook up with someone

I recently got into a probing argument with one of my guy friends on a certain aspect in a relationship.

Let me bring you upto speed of our little situation. My name is Anna,24 year. Graduate from the university of Pretoria. I recently started dating someone at the beginning of the year and so far it has been the best experience in my dating history.

Few months ago, he moved 6 miles away and we had to agree to be in a long distance relationship.at first it was going smoothly with us having video and zoom calls after work to catch up.

Few weeks ago it dawned on me that I'm not a long distance type of person and I wanted to talk to someone about it.

My best guy friend, who happens to be with me almost every day was the ideal candidate. I wanted to seek his advice and consent on the matter because we literally owe each other that.

Don't get me wrong. Its not that I don't love him, i do, infact more than any previous boyfriend I had.and it was not like I was not getting any action. Our video calls never ended without us having the phone pekejeng which now seems as as a waste of time and sin.

The problem is that I was getting tired of missing his physical appearance. I don't know if that is a thing but I do.

Cw fans will get this especially those who have watched Riverdale. Remember when Archie left Veronica to go and be by himself.

Months later he returned and found that Ronnie had hooked up with his best friend Reggie. She only did that because she got tired of missing him. And she told him so and when he showed up she immediately ditched Reggie and got back together with him

I feel like I might do the same, because this long distance relationship ain't working. I might just hook up with someone as I wait for my long gone boyfriend.

In contrast my guy best friend adviced me otherwise. That I should just break up the relationship because if I do hook up with some that is straight cheating and I'm not that type.
