We are in the merrily season of Christmas and as always everyone is planning how to celebrate.
I Remember when we were kids Christmas was all about eating chapo and getting new dresses or shorts to rock in on that day.
I don't know if cooking this chapatis on a regular day was considered a taboo because if did you will not be celebrated or visited when during Christmas.
Friends would laugh at you if you dared to wear clothes they had seen you wear before. To be safe, for those who knew our mothers couldn't afford to buy as new clothes few days to Christmas would buy earlier and guard them with our life.
The only problem came in when you buy clothes and everyone seems to be wearing the same almost every day prior to Christmas. This meant you had to go back to the drawing board and come up with another plan which included either changing the shoes, shorts or shirts so that the combo don't match.
New clothes was on the top of our list but we were also required to save money to take us dancing and swimming with the opposite gender in local hotel ,the savings only amounted to like 2$. And if you missed you would cry anytime your friends brought up their experience until the next season comes in.
As I have grown i have changed so as my priorities , from hanging out with friends or taking that long road trip to Maasai, visiting the gulp to hiking in the rocky mountains of Mt Elgon.
I have ten to do lists that must be accomplished this year.
Mistletoe
I haven't kissed anyone in the last year and I feel this should be the least thing in my bucket list. If you are not familiar with a mistletoe, it is usually placed above the head and the people beneath it have to kiss. Just be carefully not to get someone you don't want to kiss under it.
Santa hat
I must wear that outfit..I know my little cousins love it when I wear it and I'm surely gonna surprise them.
Gifts.
It's not about just receiving but giving so it's in my bucket list these Christmas too.
The tree decoration
For the past 10 or so years we have been using a normal tree to decorate our Christmas tree and I fee this must change . This time I wish to have a real tree with real bells and decoration.
