Dating and being in a relationship are two different things...I mean why would you date when you are in a relationship. If anything to go by dating is usually a process that precedes a relationship, so never allow someone to date you while you are in a relationship.
If you are a book/novel lover there is this book; twelve rules of dating ( check my blog archives for the book). The writer responds to claims that people in a relationship should date. Why would you date someone you are In a relationship with. It's like bringing a sailing ship back to the shore to repeat the whole process of docking.

When it comes to love matters, it's hard to convince the hopeless romance otherwise... their sentiment should be regarded right no matter what side they lean on. I mean dating is when you go on dates, hikes flatter one another with your childhood dreams. Don't take that into a relationship, if your partner wants to go for dates or hikes in a relationship she is not fully into it.
The relationship is about space, freedom to do your things without the pressure of your significant other. The need to grow either alone or with him/her. The relationship is a developed stage but less simple than dating.
Most if not all love stories die in the dating phase...we simply like to think we are in a relationship when we are not. The relationship is like putting one leg into marriage..if it does not lead to marriage then consider that one a dating phase.
Next time you meet someone new....don't tell them how you have been in four different relationships that didn't work out rather share your dating experience with them
