So is in Kenya, English premier League has been rooted in the minds of many Kenyans who would do almost anything to ensure that they don't miss a match. From indebting themselves to pay for their DSTV subscribtion on a sartuday evening.
Let's take a moment back and have a sniff look at how the teams in the English league have fans all over the world. Gone are the days when United and Arsenal were the big teams in the league . specifically in Kenya where people would not listen to any body who isn't a supporter of either of the teams. It went on and on until artists even got sucked in, remember the 2006 song dubbed 'kati ya arsenal na man u gani kali' it goes along way to show how people loved the two teams.
Almost 15 years later and things have changed rapidly. With Man city , Liverpool and Chelsea entering the league of chilling with the big boys ,and of course let's not forget Totenham Hotspur and Everton.
So according to a survey conducted on which of the seven teams has many fans in Kenya , Arsenal had dropped to 4th position .
Man city being champions still do not posses a large fan base in Kenya.
Man United dropped to second , just above liverpool who were placed third teams with most fans in Kenya.
Chelsea shockingly has many fans in Kenya according to the survey.
