These Are the Only Times a Kenyan Will Make Wise Decisions

Did you know that when money is not in the picture, Kenyans can think right and make wise decisions they've never been able to make when they had money? It is said that God created man, who in turn created money and the money transformed man into god.

It is absurd how people get excited about money when they do not have it. They have several plans they can execute with cash when it is unavailable. At such a time, they can listen to any advice. They will even listen to young kids with the reasoning that God could use them to pass a message or prophesy their future. But you already know what happens when you finally get that money you have been hoping for, right?

We are now in January, and the year has just begun. We all have goals and resolutions on a long list. We can now swear with the gods that we shall stick to them and work towards them no matter what happens along the way as the year rolls. Most of the people spent up to the last coin during December, but right now, it is not a problem, and we are frequently reminding ourselves that this year will be different and that there is only luxury once all the goals are met. We are also sure we will only spend what is necessary.

Setting goals and resolutions is the right way to start the year, but all factors must be considered. Don't think you will be living in a different place from where you have been living. The economy is the same, and the living standard is the same; all you need is to maintain sanity and wisdom from the start to the end.

Kenyans earn a lot of money, but they wait until they make more than that to start implementing their goals. They wait until later in the year to start blaming the political situation of the country, the economic crisis, and other factors, yet their sanity failed them. It is easier to plan for what you do not have than what is in your hand. With most people, wisdom is at its best when planning but not when implementing, and that is where things go wrong. Maintain the energy and discipline you have until the end of the year, and you will meet your goals.
