I’ve always wondered why they don’t teach Sex Education as a subject in our schools. Sure, sure, it’s the whole parents-assume-teachers-will-and-teachers-assume-parents-will situation. Before I forget, African taboos and Christian values have a role to play in this.

Before you cringe at how godless all this is, hear me out. Sex education does not necessarily mean teaching them how to have sex. Science teachers do that well enough as it is, what with a whole topic on reproduction. These kids already know what goes where. Heck, they even know what goes where in plants. But God forbid we teach them the gospel according to kama sutra. Pretty sure Adam and Eve figured everything out all by themselves and God had no role to play in that............
