ODM secretary general, Nairobi senator and The senate minority whip Edwin sifuna has grabbed headlines in recent weeks for his first stand against The broad based arrangements. Sifuna who believes Ruto administration should not be considered for a second term has been criticising the closeness of some ODM members with that UDA terming it as killing the party slow. In recent times sifuna has openly said that he fully supports the One tam agenda perpetuated the United opposition. Speaking at former Lugari Mp Cyrus Jirongo funeral, Sifuna urged the Mulembe nation to front their own lead presidential candidate and not wait for 2032 as Wetangula Suggests.

Recently when Sifuna visited the central part of Kenya to attend late Kaguyas mother funeral he met one of the united opposition leader and former deputy president Rigathu Gachagua and vocalized his one tam agenda. Sifuna was seen talking closely to Gachagua which has raised questions within the ODM ranks. Political analyst now believe sifuna might have calculated wrongly if he is to depend on Gachagua to deliver him Kikuyu votes for his larger Metropolitan Nairobi county. Analyst believe Gachagua will front both Kikuyu in Govenorial and Senatorial seats
