stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension.It is your body's reaction to a challenge or demand.Stress can be either positive or negative.
Stress management is therefore a wide spectrum of techniques and psychotherapies aimed at controlling a person's level of stress, especially for chronic stress,usually for the purpose of and motive of improving every day functioning.

How do we know that someone is stressed up?Here is a number of psychological and emotional signs of stress:
          *Depression or anxiety
          *Anger, irritability and restlessness
         *Feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated and unfocused
          *Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
          *Racing thoughts or constant worry
          *Poor concentration
          *Making bad decisions.

Stress can be managed by a number of techniques.Here are 4 of them:
                     Get adequate sleep-A good night's sleep makes you able to tackle the day's stress more easily.When you are tired,less patient and more easily agitated,you are likely to suffer stress.Most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per night.Adults who sleep fewer than eight hours a night report higher stress levels than those who sleep at least eight hours.
                         Practice mindfulness-The mindful practice of paying attention to the present moment helps us control the racing,repetitive and non-productive thoughts that lead to stress.
                             Take a walk-Walking promotes the release of brain chemicals called endorphins that stimulate relaxation and improve our mood.Walking does not have to be done at a fast pace to have stress relieving benefits.
                               Meditation-Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind.During meditation for us your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress.

There are other ways to manage stress :
         *Creating an exercise regiment
         *Writing a reflection journal
         *Organizing yourself
         *Less use of caffeine.
Stress is a component to heart diseases, diabetes,ulcers,impotence and a low sexual drive.It can also cause emotional eating and lack of motivation energy.Therefore managing stress can mean a longer,happier and healthier life.
